One Great Song by Hope Kobus
One Great Song is a coming-of-age story about the struggle of being true to one’s family while trying to be true to oneself at the same time. At the height of the rock music era, 20-year-old Missy dreams of becoming a musician. She and her childhood best friend Jimmy form a musical partnership, but when disaster strikes the family, Missy feels she must choose between her dreams and her responsibilities.
Hope Kobus is an actress and writer based in Toms River, New Jersey. A recent graduate of Belmont University, she obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts with an emphasis in Theater Performance. Outside of her theatrical endeavors, Hope has performed with a popular Jersey Shore band throughout the tri-state area. Hope is passionate about all forms of storytelling. She strives to create compelling narratives that evoke a deep emotional connection between her characters and her audience. She is excited for her play One Great Song to debut with the New Jersey Play Lab’s AllExits! Statewide play reading series.

The Rave-Ons return to the Surflight Theatre on New Year's Eve! Todd Meredith and the Rave-Ons are a high energy rock and roll band originally formed to revitalize the music of Buddy Holly and the Crickets. They produce and star in two different Buddy Holly tribute shows as well as a 50's and 60's rock and roll tribute. For concerts, they have over one hundred and fifty rock and roll tunes from all decades in their repertoire. They have played together all over the world, dazzling audiences in such venues as: Celebrity Cruise Lines, Holland America Cruise Lines and BB Kings Blues Club, NYC and numberous other clubs, theaters, restaurants and civic centers from coast to coast - including Buddy Holly's hometown of Lubbock, Texas!
